Dozens of pigs were running loose on a Minnesota highway on Friday after a truck carrying them overturned.
The flatcar, which was carrying 50 pigs, overturned just after 7:30 a.m. while traveling north on Interstate 694 near Little Canada, a town about 10 miles north of St. Paul. Minnesota State Patrol reported.
The pigs ran out of the truck and were captured by city cameras poaching around the world morning rush hour traffic on each side of the highway.
On the north side of the freeway, pigs took over all 4 lanes, forcing motorists to travel on the hard shoulder and causing miles of support until officials closed the interstate for several hours.
It took officers from 4 departments – including those from neighboring ones – nearly 4 hours to capture the pigs, several of whom were injured.
Unfortunately, 10 people died within the disaster.

In accordance with Lt. Gordon Shank of the Minnesota State Patrol, the truck driver was not injured within the collision
It shouldn’t be clear where the pigs were transported, but some of their backs were marked with painted numbers, indicating that they might have been sent to a slaughterhouse.
Investigators are still investigating what caused the semi-truck to flip onto its side while negotiating a curve on the interstate.
