Elon Musk has said he might be content with an “peculiar person” for whom he’ll vote in next yr’s presidential election.
“Truthfully, I’d somewhat we just put a normal person as president, a normal person with common sense and whose values are striking in the midst of the country, just in the midst of a normal distribution, and I believe they’d be great,” Musk told Tucker Carlson of Fox News in an interview that aired Tuesday on the cable network.
The Tesla mogul told Carlson that although he voted for President Biden within the last election, it might “probably be unfaithful” to say he was a “big fan” of the Democrat.
“I didn’t vote for Donald Trump,” Musk told Carlson. “I actually voted for Biden.”
Musk added, “I’m not saying I’m a big fan of Biden because I’d think that might probably be inaccurate, but you realize, we’ve got tough decisions to make within the presidential election.”
The tech billionaire also hit Biden for sending out COVID stimulus checks that he said were “not paid.”
“They only generated more currency,” Musk said, adding that “cheques all the time undergo unless you hit your debt limit, which is prone to trigger a debt limit crisis later this yr.”
“So when you can just issue huge amounts of cash without negative consequences, why don’t we just push it to the limit, make everyone trillionaires?” Musk said.
“They tried it in Venezuela. How did it work out?

Musk also addressed the thorny topic of abortion and contraception, suggesting that they’re answerable for the decline within the human population.
“Previously, we could depend on easy rewards from the limbic system to breed,” Musk told Carlson.
“But once you could have contraception and, you realize, abortions and so forth … now you may still satisfy your limbic instinct, but you may’t procreate.”
Musk added, “So we have not evolved to deal with it yet since it’s all pretty recent, you realize, the last 50 years when it comes to contraception.”
The tech mogul, who has nine children with three different women, said: “Yeah, yeah. You understand, I’m a little fearful that hey, civilization, you realize, if we do not create enough people to no less than maintain our numbers, perhaps increase it a bit, then civilization will disintegrate.

“The old query of whether civilization will end with a bang or a whimper,” Musk said, adding, “Well, it’s currently attempting to end with a whimper in adult diapers.”
While Musk has voted for Democrats including Biden, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, he recently revealed that he recently voted for a GOP candidate for the primary time.
Mayra Flores, the primary Mexican-born politician to serve as a congresswoman, representing Texas’s historically blue thirty fourth congressional district from 2022 to early this yr, received Musk’s vote within the state primaries.
Flores ultimately defeated the highest Democratic candidate within the race for the vacant Congressional seat.

Musk has also declared that he intends to vote for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis within the event he throws his hat into the ring and officially declares his candidacy for the White House.
In keeping with the newest opinion polls, which show Trump with a big lead amongst potential GOP voters, DeSantis would have a steep hill to climb.
Musk has publicly criticized Biden and the Democrats, particularly on cultural issues as well as the party’s influence on technology.
After acquiring Twitter for $44 billion last fall, Musk allowed primarily right-wing commentators, including Trump, to return to the platform after the previous board banned them from making inflammatory statements.

Musk also oversaw the discharge of so-called “Twitter files,” which reveal the extent to which the previous Twitter regime suppressed news, such as The Post reports on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
“Previously, I voted for Democrats because they were (mostly) a benevolence party,” Musk tweeted last yr.
“But they’ve grow to be a party of division and hate, so I can not support them and can vote Republican. Now watch their dirty tricks unfold against me.
