Ford CEO Jim Farley has a message for Elon Musk’s Tesla: Your fancy latest Cybertruck keeps me up at night.
Appearance on CNBC Crazy Money from Ford’s headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan,” Farley told Jim Kramer that Musk’s upcoming Cybertruck wouldn’t be stealing customers from the corporate’s F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck.
“If he desires to design a Cybertruck for people in Silicon Valley, wonderful,” Farley said. “It’s like a cool, high-end product parked in front of a hotel. But I do not do trucks like that. I make trucks for real people doing real work.”
The launch of the Cybertruck – Tesla’s first electric truck – has been fraught with delays since Musk first announced it in 2019. Nevertheless, last April, Musk assured investors that the electrical vehicle can be ready by the top of the 12 months.

Telsa desires to enter the EV truck market. The pickups were American best-selling cars in 2022, led by the Ford F series. Nevertheless, Tesla dominates the electrical vehicle market.
It’s still unclear how similar the Cybertruck and F-150 Lightning will probably be. In line with Business informant, the Cybertruck is estimated to sell for around $50,000, while the F-150 Lightning has a sticker price of $60,000. Some have ccompared the Cybertruck to the GMC Hummer greater than the Ford pickup.

Ford will use Tesla’s charging station
Despite Farley’s hard words about Tesla, the 2 corporations recently agreed to a charging station partnership. In 2024, Ford drivers will give you the option to make use of greater than 12,000 Tesla chargers across the US and Canada.
When asked if it was a conflict of interest, Farley replied: “I don’t have any problem being opportunistic in the case of benefiting my clients.”
He added that Musk was amicable throughout the negotiations. “More due to Henry Ford than Jim Farley.”
