The exciting hunt for the subsequent James Bond may soon be over.
According to press reports, Bullet Train star Aaron Taylor-Johnson appears to be the frontrunner for the role of 007 previously held by Daniel Craig.
The 32-year-old ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ actor is rumored to have met with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli – and even had a secret audition last yr, according to Every day mail.
The source said News from Puck via the Every day Mail that while the screen test went “thoroughly”, nothing has been officially confirmed.
The Post reached out to representatives from Broccoli and Taylor-Johnson for comment.

The “Savages” actor has reportedly filmed scenes as a spy recently, including those within the series iconic gun barrel sequence.
“Aaron went to a screen test in September to be the subsequent Bond and the producers and Barbara loved him,” a source said. Sun in November.
“He’s considered one of the favorites now,” the source added. “Aaron impressed the bosses a lot that he filmed considered one of the famous gun barrel teasers, which is something all actors do.”
“The move brings him one step closer to signing the deal,” the source noted. “The executives of this brand were really impressed by his unique mix of acting intensity and a formidable catalog of motion movies.”
The battle for Bond follows Craig’s final stint as the suave spy within the 2021 film No Time To Die. The 54-year-old ‘Knives Out’ actor has been playing MI6’s womanizer since 2006’s ‘Casino Royale’.
Other top artists rumored to be in the combo include Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Richard Madden and ‘Bridgerton’ star Regé-Jean Page.
In January 2022, Broccoli and fellow Bond producer Michael G. Wilson appeared on Deadline’s “Crew Call” podcast and was occupied with the thought of casting Elba.

“Well, we all know Idris – I’m friends with him and he’s an important actor,” Broccoli said.
“You already know, it was a part of the conversation, but it surely’s all the time hard to have a conversation when you might have someone in place,” she added.
Broccoli continued, “I feel we have decided that as long as No Time To Die is over and Daniel is in a position to – well, we have all been able to – reap the advantages of Daniel’s great tenure, we’re not going to think or discuss anyone else, actors to role-playing, plot, or anything. We just want to live within the moment, in the current.”
