The brand new Girl Scout cookie flavor has already develop into so popular that it could actually be resold online for $100 or more.
The “Raspberry Rally” cookie debuted on February 27 as an online-only addition to the Scouts’ annual offering. Inside hours of its release, supplies of the long-awaited treat were sold out to troops across the country.
While Girl Scout cookies typically sell for around $5 a box, demand for the “Raspberry Rally” has driven prices up within the secondary market.
eBay auctions for boxes of Raspberry Rally cookies cost around $100, with some as high as $199.97 on the time of publication – despite the fact that Girl Scouts marks all packages of cookies as “not for resale”.
The listings noted that a selected number of cookies was “sold out” or “hard to search out” elsewhere.
A spokeswoman for the Girl Scouts of the USA confirmed that the cookies had sold out online and urged customers to buy products directly from the organization and never from other sources.

“We would like to remind all cookie-using customers that revenue stays local and is critical to funding military activities all year long,” a spokesperson told Insider.
“We encourage customers to make use of cookies find a neighborhood stand try a wide range of flavors if their first selection is not available, or donate to your local council’s cookie donation program to support the most important girl-led entrepreneurship program on the planet,” the spokesperson added.
It’s unclear if the organization plans to replenish the range.

Girl Scouts of the USA sells cookies as a part of its annual fundraiser to lift money for the organization’s operations.
“The skinny, crunchy cookie is the ‘sister’ cookie to the beloved Thin Mints, infused with raspberry flavor as an alternative of mint and dipped in the identical delicious chocolate coating,” Scout said in last 12 months’s issue.
The resale wave has caused frustration amongst some local Scout leaders.
“It takes a lady away from that chance” – Jessica Martin, Product Program Director, Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, local news outlet WBNS said. “For them to learn and practice their business skills.”
