This Golden Bachelor isn’t looking so golden anymore.
Gerry Turner is coming under fire after revealing that he did in reality lie about dating other women after his wife Toni died in 2017.
Chatting with Katie Couric sooner or later after proposing to Recent Jersey native Theresa Nist, Turner got here clean.
“I assume I’d say this: I dated a variety of women, but then it becomes a problem of the way you define whether you’re in a relationship,” Turner, 72, said while appearing on a Zoom call with Nist, 70.
Turner later told Couric, 66, that he wanted “to concentrate on what’s occurring now.”
In the future before the “Golden Bachelor” finale on Nov. 30, a girl, who went by the name of Carolyn, told The Hollywood Reporter that Turner flirted together with her for 3 months after his wife passed, and he asked her to maneuver in with him in 2018.
Their relationship, nonetheless, fizzled out in 2019 when Turner allegedly dumped her after she gained 10 kilos mere months before his highschool reunion.
“I’m not taking you to the reunion looking like that,” Carolyn claims Turner told her.
Things got worse when Turner allegedly ordered her to go away his home by early 2020.
While attempting to maneuver things out, Carolyn by accident suffered an injury after falling down the steps and was forced to remain on the emergency room.
In keeping with Carolyn, Turner claimed the lady hurt herself on purpose and he forced her to live in a hotel.
“I actually wish this is able to’ve worked out,” she recalled Turner allegedly telling her. “Call me once you get to your hotel, so I do know you made it protected.”
Turner denied the accusations, saying that he doesn’t “have time to think about a number of the other stuff.”
“I assume I haven’t really checked out it as how accurate it’s,” Turner told The Recent York Times, adding he’s only given the article a “cursory look.”
“I’ve more checked out it by way of timing, and the way it really doesn’t fit with all the positive things which are occurring in my life at once.”
“I mean, I’m sitting across from Theresa at once, and I have a look at her, and she or he’s the love of my life. And I actually don’t have time to think about a number of the other stuff,” he added.
Turner echoed the identical sentiment while speaking with the Los Angeles Times about all of the “positive things” in his life.
“I actually have the wonderful love of Theresa, my partner,” he said. “I don’t have time to reflect on comments like this. I’m comfortable to look forward.”
Turner’s breakup with semi-finalist Leslie Fhima, 64, also didn’t end well. When he told Leslie he was in love with Theresa in the ultimate episode, Leslie repeatedly said he lied to her.
“So all the pieces you told me the opposite night was a lie,” the Minnesota fitness trainer said regarding their overnight date. “The opposite night, you made it sound such as you selected me.”
“You said things to me that made me think that this was going to be it,” Fhima slammed. “You led me down a path, and you then took a turn and left me there, and that’s how I feel. It’s mind-boggling, to be honest, how you may talk over with me all night, tell me you like me, after which sooner or later — not even a day, 12 hours later — you modified your mind.”
The exes appeared cordial and even hugged throughout the “After the Final Rose” special.
As of now, Turner is ready to wed Theresa in a televised ceremony on Jan. 4.
