Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is still at the box office.
The Marvel movie grossed $15.7 million on Friday, based on Box Office Mojo IMDB.
Last weekend it enjoyed a $118 million opening, the second-biggest debut of the 12 months, by variety.
“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” remained in second place with sales of $2.93 million. It is the highest-grossing film of the 12 months so far, with a complete of $1.17 billion worldwide.
The third Friday was “Book Club: The Next Chapter”, which opened on Friday, with sales of $2.14 million.
The romantic comic follows 4 friends – played by Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen – who take their book club to Italy.
The Post “hated it from cover to cover”.
The supernatural thriller Evil Dead Rise dropped to fourth place with $1.1 million.
“Hypnotic”, which was released on Friday, ranked fifth with $940,000 in sales.
