At the very least four people were killed in a two-helicopter collision on Australia’s Gold Coast near SeaWorld amusement park late Sunday night, in response to reports.
Queensland Police confirmed the outage via Twitterbut gave no details.
“Seaworld Drive in Important Beach has been closed on account of a helicopter crash. We urge motorists and pedestrians to avoid the realm,” the agency wrote in a tweet.
The Queensland Ambulance Service said 13 patients were being assessed and 6 were taken to area hospitals, in response to 9News Australia.
Police confirmed certainly one of the helicopters was in a position to land successfully after the planes “made contact with one another”.
Photos and video from the scene show the wreck covering the sandy island near the coast. A lot of emergency personnel were seen on the sandy island assisting within the incident.

It shouldn’t be clear what led to the crash.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau was investigating the collision, chief commissioner Angus Mitchell said.

The Gold Coast region is busiest in January, at the peak of Australia’s summer holiday season.
