Practice makes perfect.
A Canadian tattoo artist has said she’s letting her nine-yr-old daughter practice her skills on her mum – and has admitted she’s been doing “surprisingly well” thus far.
Thus far, 33-yr-old Christine Fleming has allowed her daughter Scarlett to attract a heart on her leg, in addition to a butterfly and a flower.
“I’m not too anxious about whether it is going to be perfect or anything,” Fleming explained to the South West News Service.
“She’s really good at following instructions, and I’m guiding her.”
Fleming revealed that she was first inspired to introduce her daughter to the world of tattooing after seeing other parents do the identical.
“I’ve seen other parents let their kids get tattooed,” she said. “I thought – ‘this might be fun.’
The mum revealed her daughter seemed “really interested” in learning, so she suggested they practice on a faux leather to check it out.

Nonetheless, Scarlett didn’t just like the faux leather since it has a hard texture to know.
Fleming described it as “leathery” and “less forgiving”.
As an alternative, the mother offered her daughter her own skin, and now evidently Scarlett really developed a talent for tattooing.
Fleming said the primary design her daughter drew on her was a small heart on her leg, which surprised her pleasantly.
She then let her daughter check out the butterfly template, which was a bit harder in December 2022.
“She’s really good at following instructions, and I’m guiding her,” said Fleming.
The Canadian tattoo artist said she chooses stencils that she thinks will probably be easy enough for Scarlett to attract.
“She’s really happy with herself,” Fleming said of his daughter. “It gave her confidence.”

Last month, Fleming let her nine-yr-old son give her a cherry blossom – a design Scarlett traced and inked herself. It took the teenager about an hour to make it for her mom.
Nonetheless, although her mom is a tattoo artist, that does not imply Scarlett will wish to do the identical.
Fleming has made it clear she doesn’t wish to push her daughter into the occupation – but admitted it might be “cool” if she decided to do it someday.
“I’m not going to pressure her to maintain doing it,” she said.
“But she’s going to have a different ability.”
While Scarlett can still practice her drawings on her mum, Fleming sticks to her rule that her daughter cannot have any ink of her own until she turns 18.
“They’re amazing,” Fleming maintained of her daughter’s work.
