Could or not it’s true?
Blockbuster is generally a memory as the corporate has closed all of its locations – apart from one in Bend, Oregon. But astute fans of the famous Nineteen Nineties video rental chain noticed something had modified on the corporate’s official website and quickly took to social media to debate their findings.

After the visit Blockbuster.coma screen with the corporate logo and the message “We’re working on rewinding your video” will appear.

While the network didn’t explain why it decided to reactivate its website (which had previously been dormant) with a cryptic message, Blockbuster joked about returning and rebranding as a bank on March 15.
Recent business idea: we will return as a bank and use VHS and DVD as currency. Time to go to your mom.

Many have taken to social media to precise that there could also be reason to imagine something big is brewing on the video rental chain.

One Twitter the user even asked network if it planned to return as an “agile retail franchise”, to which the network sadly replied “No”, although the network responded to 1000’s of tweets asking what was happening with various unrelated movie gifs.
At his height, Blockbuster operated over 9,000 stores and generated over $5.9 billion in revenue. The last remaining stores closed in 2014 – at the least one.
In 2020, Netflix premiered a documentary concerning the Bend, Oregon location, aptly named “The Last Blockbuster,” which sheds light on the flocks of tourists who visit the shop to walk down the memorial wall every 12 months.
Last month, the last remaining store aired a Super Bowl ad that quickly went viral and helped increase sales by 200%, in accordance with store manager Sandi Harding.
