Poor Kamala Harris. The press doesn’t wish to concentrate on “forces [her] leadership,” as veep put it, denying her the attention she deserves.
OK, we’ll give you a moment to stop laughing.
Harris has made no progress on her top priority – stemming the tide of migrants rushing across the border, ostensibly by addressing the “root causes” of their home countries – but apparently thinks she was a vital leader in other ways.
Like her role at the Munich Security Conference in February just before Russia invaded Ukraine Bizarrely suggested Jonathan Capehart of the Washington Post. The issue is that she has done little there, apart from being ridiculed for claiming that Europe has enjoyed “peace and security” since the end of World War II.
Harris also suggests that the press take a have a look at her actions after the Dobbs Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. What actions? Democrats he blamed the White House for its poor response to the decision.
Possibly he’s pondering of a constant rotation key employees in her office – 12 left, including former chief press officer Symone Sanders and director of public affairs. Or possibly President Biden hinted she had potential when he reportedly called her a “work in progress”. (Don’t bet on it.)
True? There’s a good reason her approval rating has stayed well below 50% for over 16 months – and it’s not just her crazy cackles and limitless word salads, but her total failure to make a positive change. On anything.
If that is the standard of leadership, it’s indeed a low bar.
