Jane Fonda still hasn’t received an apology from Monster-in-Law co-star Jennifer Lopez after she slashed her eyebrow during their fight in the 2005 romantic comedy.
‘Hustlers’ star, 53, and Oscar winner, 85, fell right into a trap a hilarious argument over spanking in a single scene in a cult movie.
Nonetheless, Lopez has yet to make an apology for that moment, which happened 18 years ago.
During a recent appearance inThe Drew Barrymore ShowFonda explained that the Bronx native unintentionally cut her eyebrow with the engagement ring she wore on stage.
“The very first thing that involves mind is the beating scene,” said the “Grace and Frankie” star.
“I hit her, she hits me, I hit her. Well, Jennifer, she had this huge diamond ring, so when she hit me once, she cut my eyebrow open,” she recalls.
“And he or she never apologized,” Fonda continued.
Lopez once talked about the wa incident YouTube video from 2019saying that she was stuffed with fear when it got here time to hit Fonda.
“I used to be so afraid of punching Jane Fonda in the face or hurting her in any way, really,” Crooner told Jenny from the Block.
“Her character was loads like her, and my character at the time was loads like me,” added Lopez. “I used to be so afraid of her and she or he was so brave and said, ‘Just hit me. Don’t fret about it, the whole lot will probably be advantageous.’”
In the comedy, Fonda played an overbearing mother-in-law who does the whole lot in her power to eliminate her son’s future wife (played by Michael Vartan) (Lopez). The fighting women spend the movie at one another’s throats.
