A source near Jamie Foxx said on Wednesday that the actor was “still not himself” after affected by a mysterious illness in April that landed him in hospital.
“He’s receiving one of the best care now and dealing hard to get better, but he’s still not himself,” an unidentified source he told People magazine. “He has the tightest circle around him.”
The news got here just hours after Foxx, 55, spoke to 31-year-old co-worker John Boyega, who had tried to contact his friend several times.
“He finally picked up the phone. Thanks, brother,” said the Star Wars actor on the premiere of “They Cloned Tyrone,” which stars each Boyega and Foxx.
“Is doing well. After which, you understand, we just give him privacy and we stay up for his return,” he said.
“I sent him my wishes directly. I wanted him all my wishes,” continued Boyega. “Then I’ll wait for him to return back here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, brother.
Datari Turner, who co-produced the film with Foxx, shared a sunnier update, claiming that the “Spider-Man” actor will soon return to work.
“He is doing amazingly. Promise you. He’s doing really, very well,” said Turner, 44.[Director] Juel [Taylor] spoke to him yesterday. John Boyega spoke to him yesterday. He’s in really fine condition and mood. And it would return to the screen. He’ll be back to work soon.”
The Post contacted Foxx for comment.
Foxx disappeared from the general public eye on April 11 after reportedly sustaining an injury “medical complications” while filming the Netflix motion comedy “Back in Motion” in Atlanta.
The star’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, 29, shared the statement on her Instagram story the following day.
“We desired to share the news that my father, Jamie Foxx, had medical complications yesterday,” the statement read. “Fortunately, with prompt motion and great care, he is now well on his approach to recovery. We know the way much he is loved and we appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy at the moment.”
Since then, news concerning the Oscar winner “Ray” has been sparse.
In late April, it was revealed that the actor was “awake and alert”, while doctors tried to find out what ailment Foxx was affected by.
Foxx later released a statement on Instagram thanking his fans for his or her love and support.
Several conspiracy theories have circulated regarding the star’s continued hospitalization, including that the COVID-19 vaccine caused Foxx to be hospitalized.
