Jockey Jamie Kah responded after two photos appeared on social media showing the superstar and a plate of unknown white powder.
Kah was sidelined after a horrific fall in Flemington in March that left her affected by a brain bleed and memory loss.
But the day after the jockey announced her return to the sport, she was caught up in a social media scandal, the Herald Sun reports.
The photos show one photo of Kah smiling at the camera with white painted fingernails clearly visible, and one other of her hand with white fingernails that seem like separating lines of white powder on a plate.

It’s unclear when the photo was taken, what the powder is, or whether the substance was ingested.
After the story broke, Kah responded on social media.
“I’m determined to give attention to my health and recovery after a fall in a race in March which resulted in a serious brain injury and a stay in the hospital for 3 weeks,” said Kah.
“I’m working hard to get back to doing what I really like, which is being a passionate and successful jockey.
“I’ll proceed to give attention to my physical and mental health and full recovery so I can get back to racing and be the best person I will be.
“I won’t comment any more.”
In a press release, Racing Victoria said: “Judges might be asking Jamie Kah to take full advantage of all the facts before considering whether any racing rules have been breached.”

Racing head steward Victoria Robert Cram said via Age: “We all know the photos and are investigating.”
Kah was hospitalized after a fall in March, spending three weeks in the hospital.
The star jockey was impaled on the turf after her horse Flyball clipped the heel of eventual winner Veight in the Group 2 Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m).
In the same incident, Craig Williams suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs, a broken finger and his own concussion after his horse Dubenenko tripped over a fallen horse Kaha.
The 27-year-old returned to the track this week with a “restricted track work licence” and must undergo a “balance” neurological test next month to be eligible to race.

“I feel 100%, I feel like I’m back and I feel like I actually have a purpose again,” Kah said.
“Confidence is back to normal, I didn’t feel like I missed a day.
“It’s good to be back, it has been a really tough couple of months and I have been waiting for this for ages.
“The last couple of weeks have been really hard because I do know I’m feeling normal inside myself, I’m feeling back to myself and I just don’t go to work and I do not ride horses, that was the hardest part.”
Incredibly, Kah, who had 59 group 1 winners before her injury, still leads the Melbourne Jockeys Premiership table in Victoria.
Kah made history in 2020-21 as the first female jockey to win the Premiership in Melbourne. She also became the first jockey in 20 years to beat over 100 winners (105) in a single season.
But she was also banned from riding for attending a gathering at Morning Airbnb after curfew in Melbourne during the Covid-19 pandemic.
