Forbes analyzed the anger that various American airports generate among travelers, and its study found John Wayne Airport to be the most irritating.
Of the analyzed messages people tweeted at John Wayne Airport, 65% of them fell into the ‘bad’ category, Forbes reported recently.
This percentage earned it the primary spot on the “America’s Angriest Airports” list.
The airport, situated south of Anaheim in Orange County, California, handled a complete of 11.36 million passengers in 2022, in line with statistics posted on its website.
Its name refers to the famous actor from “True Grit” and “The Sands of Iwo Jima”.
Forbes found that in indignant tweets about John Wayne Airport, “delayed,” “TSA,” “staff,” “noise,” and “complaints” were used the most.
The Outlet noted that JD Power said John Wayne Airport had the second highest customer satisfaction rating among major airports. Tampa International Airport was the first on this category.

The most recent passenger survey from John Wayne Airport, found that the percentage of on-site passengers who rated the airport a 4 or five for satisfaction was 94%. In line with the survey, 73% of them rated their satisfaction as five.
To find out the most disruptive airports, Forbes used greater than 37,000 tweets and machine learning.
The tweets tagged the 60 busiest airports and covered 12 months starting in March 2022.
Rating 52nd, Indianapolis International Airport was named by Forbes as the Least Offended Travelers. In line with the portal, only 42% of his tweets were indignant.
