Julian Sands’ family broke their silence by thanking Southern California law enforcement officials for their relentless seek for the missing ‘A Room with a View’ star.
The 65-year-old British actor was last seen mountain climbing in the Mount Baldy area his wife Evgenia Citkowitzreported missing on Friday, January 13.
“We extend our heartfelt due to the compassionate members of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department who’re coordinating the seek for our beloved Julian, particularly the heroic search teams listed below who brave the harsh conditions on the ground and in the air to bring Julian home,” read the family statement, joint Monday by department.
“We’re deeply touched by the wave of affection and support,” they added.
The Post contacted a Sands representative for comment.

His son Henry, 37, who can also be a seasoned traveler, flew home from London last week follow in his father’s footsteps but needed to stop on account of bad weather.
Poor visibility and icy conditions in the mountainous region also delayed search and rescue efforts. Sheriff’s Department cited a powerful wind warning on Monday, which banned the use of helicopters.
The silver Volvo that probably belonged to Sands was there present in the car parking zone where he’s believed to have left it before occurring his trek. His family had the snow-covered vehicle towed away.
Attempts to ping his iPhone failed on Jan. 15 “on account of a scarcity of cellular service and most definitely a cell phone power outage,” the department has since disclosure.

Nevertheless, a “delayed ping” generated from his phone showed movement even after it was reported missing. He traced the possible location as a trail to the top of Mount Baldy, but ground searchers and helicopters found nothing.
Starting his profession in the Nineteen Eighties, Sands is thought for his appearances in such movies as “Arachnophobia”, “The Wizard” and “Leaving Las Vegas”. He also appeared in “24” in 2006 and in the eighth season of “Dexter” in 2013.
