Kate Spade Recent York is under fire for teaming up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney in a latest promotional video for the brand’s spring collection.
Mulvaney, 26, who uses pronouns, posted a clip TikTok on Tuesday which shows her shopping at Spade’s Rockefeller Center, flaunting a small white handbag and a puff sleeved pink dress, complementing the look with a necklace and earrings because “more is at all times more.”
“And truthfully, I believe I’ll take it out of the shop,” Mulvaney said, running out the front door without paying. “So completely happy spring!”
The cheery ad angered some conservatives, who sharply criticized Kate Spade for hiring a transgender woman to advertise traditionally feminine clothing.

Other social media users defended Mulvaney and the brand and even made fun of Kate Spade’s former clients who were upset in regards to the partnership.
“Should you’re offended with Kate Spade and wish to do away with your bags, please text me. I may also help. I’ll even pay for the shipping. Within the meantime. Congratulations to Dylan Mulvaney and kudos to Kate Spade.” he wrote on Twitter.
