On 6 May, Charles was officially crowned king in a grand coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
This marked the official handover of power to the latest monarch following the death of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, who died at the age of 96 in September 2022.
The ceremony made history as King Charles became the oldest crowned king at the age of 74.
Many members of the royal family were in attendance, including King Charles’s son Prince Harry.
There was some tension between the redheaded royal and his family over the past few years, especially after the January release of his eloquent bombshell memoir Spare.
Nonetheless, for the first time since the book was published, he traveled abroad and arrived without his wife, Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry sat in the third row, unfortunately his view was partially obscured by a big Princess Anne hat with a red feather protruding of it.
He had only been in the UK for lower than 24 hours as he was rushing home to California to have fun his son Archie’s fourth birthday.
The young couple just went through a traumatic ordeal this week, claiming to have had an “almost catastrophic” automobile chase across Manhattan after Markle accepted the 2023 Women of Vision Award presented to her by Gloria Steinem.

After the grand coronation earlier this month, many members of the royal family celebrated with a coronation concert on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
It was an all-star event, with performances by Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
During the event, Prince William also gave an emotional speech to a crowd of 20,000, congratulating his father and paying tribute to the late queen.
“As my grandmother said when she was crowned, coronations are a declaration of our hopes for the future and I do know she watches us fondly and could be a really proud mother,” said William.
He went on to explain his father’s longstanding passion for ministry.
“My father’s first words when he entered Westminster Abbey yesterday were a promise of service,” he said.
“It was a commitment to continued service as for over 50 years, in every corner of the UK, throughout the Commonwealth and around the world, he has dedicated himself to serving others, each present and future generations and those whose memory must not be underestimated.” .
