The Graceland grave containing Benjamin Keough’s stays will probably be moved to the open for his late mother, Lisa Marie Presley.
A whistleblower told The Post on Thursday that Keough’s grave could be moved to make way for the grave of his 54-year-old mother, who died on January 12 after she was reportedly hospitalized for cardiac arrest.
“They’re moving Benjamin’s grave to make room for Lisa within the cemetery behind the home,” a source told us.
The Post contacted Graceland representatives Lisa Marie and her mother, Priscilla Presley, for comment.
Work at the memorial site began on Tuesday, according to photos obtained by col TMZ. Lisa Marie’s grave was depicted as being prepared next to Keough’s grave died by suicide in July 2020 at the age of 27. Her grave was also opposite that of her father, music legend Elvis Presley, who died of a heart attack in 1977.
The family tombs are all situated around a well known fountain within the backyard of a Memphis, Tennessee estate.
There are other changes ahead as well A Sunday public celebration of life that can honor Lisa Marie.
Presley’s official reason for death stays undetermined after the initial autopsy, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.
“Presley was examined on January 14 and the reason for death has been deferred,” said Sarah Ardalani, a spokeswoman for the LA County Medical Examiner’s Department.
“Deferred signifies that after an autopsy, the reason for death has not been determined and the medical expert asks for further investigation into the death, including additional tests. When the tests/tests come back, the doctor re-evaluates the case and determines the reason for death,” Ardalani explained.
Lisa Marie’s 14-year-old twins, Harper and Finley Lockwood, spend time with their grandmother Priscilla and half-sister Riley Keough after her death. Teenagers are allegedly “too scared” to go home to Los Angeles.
Lisa Marie’s three daughters will inherit Graceland, The Post learned on Tuesday.
“The Trust (which incorporates Graceland) will go to Lisa’s daughters Marie, Riley, Finley and Harper,” a Graceland representative told The Post.
