It wasn’t Phil Mickelson’s game that caught the attention of the PGA Championship weekend.
Speaking to reporters at the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, Recent York, where the six-time principal draw winner after Sunday’s final round ranked 58th on social media following his defection to rival LIV Golf last 12 months.
“I believe it’s because I do know certain things that others don’t,” Mickelson said. according to ESPN.
“I just want to be sure everyone seems to be held accountable.”
Mickelson’s cryptic comments come just after his recent confirmation Recent York Times reportwho said last week that the 52-year-old skilled met with US Department of Justice investigators as a part of an investigation into the PGA Tour for potential antitrust violations.
“I do know loads of stuff that may come out later,” said Mickelson, who didn’t elaborate on his discussion at the DOJ.

According to The Recent York Times, as well as to Mickelson, DOJ investigators also met fellow LIV stars Sergio Garcia and Bryson DeChambeau.
The federal government is claimed to be investigating the PGA Tour’s relationship with the Masters, the official world golf rating, the PGA of America, the R&A and the USGA.
Mickelson has made repeated appearances on Twitter defend other LIV playerseven accusing the PGA Championship of colluding against a controversial Saudi-backed tour in a deleted tweet.
Elsewhere on Sunday Mickelson spoke about the Ryder Cup, noting that he “doesn’t understand what it’s like to rejoice the PGA of America what tour we’re playing” when it comes to competing in the biennial event.
“I do not see the advantage of the Ryder Cup to change what has historically been, which is the US – well, once the UK and Ireland – versus Europe,” Mickelson said of the international competition, which is ready to happen in Italy in September.

“I do not see the advantage of changing it. I do not understand how the PGA of America can care about the tour we’re playing. That is just my opinion.
LIV Golf’s Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka – who won their third PGA Championship Sunday and fifth overall – are eligible to play in the 2023 Ryder Cup as their PGA of America memberships extend into next 12 months, ESPN reported.
After tied for second place in the Masters, Sunday’s win pushed Koepka’s position in the Ryder Cup to sixth in points.
Players don’t earn any World Golf Rating points from LIV Golf events.
