Is not it time to ditch the name “Meatpacking District”? The once distasteful neighborhood is now home to hotels, high-end restaurants and, increasingly, high-end fashion boutiques. Recent arrivals include luxury clothing brands Maje and Sandro, which signed retail leases at 405 W. thirteenth St. Aurora Capital Associates. Each store can have roughly 2,500 square feet on the ground floor and a couple of,100 cubic meters on the lower level.
The stores are expected to open early next 12 months.
