Former “Pharma Bro” scammer Martin Shkreli has offered prison wisdom to alleged crypto scammer Sam Bankman-Fried if he goes to jail: shave your head and brush up on rap lyrics.
Shkreli, who spent five years in federal prison after being convicted of securities fraud in 2017, said Bankman-Fried needed to alter his appearance if he was to survive lockdown.
To accomplish that, Shkreli suggested the 30-year-old fallen crypto-whistle shave off his wild hair and deepen his voice to suit a “very testosterone-filled, masculine place.”
“Sam could have a lot of trouble because he’s a little bit of an effeminate guy and his behavior – some say autistic sense or sensitivity – isn’t something that works well in prison.” Shkreli said in an interview with cryptocurrency journalist Laura Shin on Friday.
Bankman-Fried has been released on $250 million bail as he awaits trial on fraud charges. If convicted, he faces as much as 115 years in prison.

“He should take heed to as much rap as possible… collect this stuff as soon as possible,” Shkreli said on Shin’s “Unchained” podcast.
If Bankman-Fried prepares himself for topics corresponding to “criminal culture,” he could “save your life,” Shkreli added.
“Discover all the things there’s to find out about gangs, about tough neighborhoods in every city,” he said

Shkreli, who was released from prison in May, gained notoriety after he raised the worth of the life-saving AIDS drug Daraprim to $750 a pill from $17.50 after obtaining exclusive rights to it in 2015.
