In response to Megyn Kelly, former Latest York City mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife Chirlane McCray are “desecrating the institution of marriage” by separating while still living together in the identical house and seeing other people.
“I do not believe in desecrating the institution of marriage by staying in it,” Kelly said during her SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show” on Friday.
“And calling yourself married and calling it a ‘love story’ while inviting one other man into your bed in your marital home as you pass pictures of yourself and your loved ones on your solution to the bedroom isn’t normal, and I’m not going to support that.” .
Kelly also made it to The Latest York Times for “Giving This Guy a Fawning Profile” on Wednesday, when the newspaper first reported the couple’s separation after nearly 30 years of marriage.
The previous Fox News star chided de Blasio for posting a link to the story on his Twitter feed, writing, “Even in this moment of change, it is a love story.”

“[De Blasio] he had the audacity to post this story on Twitter… This isn’t a love story. It is not what I consider love,” Kelly said, adding that the couple should divorce if the connection not works.
Podcaster married Douglas Brunt in 2008, two years after her first marriage to Daniel Kendall ended in divorce.
They were married for five years.
Kelly also criticized the two-term Democratic mayor for marrying McCray, despite coming out as a lesbian before they exchanged vows.

“Don’t marry a lesbian if you happen to’re a person, okay?” Kelly noticed.
The podcaster added: “They are saying they’ll stay together. But they simply do not have to have one another.”
“It is not going to work. I’m recorded. It is not going to work, Kelly said.
“They may find yourself divorced. It is not everlasting.”
The couple told The Times they began serious about separating after the previous mayor wondered why his spouse was not “in love” when he was home two months ago.

“You possibly can feel when something is fallacious and you don’t need to live that way,” de Blasio told The Times.
McCray told The Post that de Blasio’s two terms as mayor, in addition to his lengthy run for president in 2020, played a job in the rift.
De Blasio, for his part, admitted that he became “very emotionally needy” in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, which he said made the couple “not that connected.”
