Morgan Wallen postponed the deadline by six weeks his trips after receiving “bad news” from the doctors that he needs an extended voice rest.
The 29-year-old “Last Night” singer shared the news wa two-minute video on social media Tuesday, after weeks of constant criticism for suddenly cancels a show in Mississippi last month.
“After 10 days of vocal rest, I played three shows in Florida last weekend and felt terrible after the third one,” Wallen began the clip.
“So I went yesterday and got examined they usually told me I had damaged my vocal cords again and that I had a vocal fold injury. Their advice is to take six weeks of vocal rest, so that is what I will do.”
Wallen stated that doctors said he could “permanently damage my voice” if he didn’t stop singing.

“So for the longevity of my profession, it’s only a selection I needed to make,” said the struggling country star.
“I hate it but I really like you and I appreciate all of the support you usually give me,” he added.
The “Wasted on You” singer also revealed that he tore a muscle in his back while performing in Australia and can use this break day to heal from that injury as well.
He says his team is working on rescheduling tour dates and can make his scheduled festival appearances “excellent” next yr.

Wallen angered fans last month when he canceled his concert in Oxford, Mississippi, minutes before he was resulting from take the stage. Nearly 60,000 fans filled the University of Mississippi Stadium.
Although the jumbotron message stated that concert viewers would receive a refund for the canceled event, one fan went viral by tagging the singer in an in depth receipt that amounted to almost $4,000 in expenses she said she put together to get to the show.
On April 25, the girl told The Post that nobody from Wallen’s team had contacted her concerning the receipt or received a refund for the tickets.
“To everyone at Oxford, I just desired to say how sorry I’m for the way things turned out.” Wallen later said on social media. “I assumed I’d be able to go, but I just wasn’t. So we’re working on rescheduling. We’re near rescheduling. We just do not have a particular one yet. As soon as I do, I’ll let you recognize.”

The singer is not any stranger to controversy. In 2020, his appearance on “Saturday Night Live” was canceled after he was spotted with out a mask in a bar making out with a girl at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A number of months later, the previous contestant of the sixth season of “The Voice” was caught on video screaming the N word on a drunken night in Nashville, Tennessee.
His record label, Big Loud, temporarily suspended itThe Country Music Association banned him from the 2021 awards, and radio stations stopped playing his music.
