This will not be a wurst idea.
American meat producer Oscar Mayer announced on Wednesday that it was changing the name of its world-famous Wienermobile after 87 years.
A new fleet of “Frankmobiles” will hit the streets this week as a part of its once-in-a-century rebranding, with the corporate saying it’s “paying homage” to its new 100% Beef Franks.
“Wienermobile is a beloved American icon that has been creating smiles and cravings for our iconic, delicious sausages for nearly 100 years.” – Stephanie Vance, associate brand manager for the corporate, he said in a statement.
The aim of the revamped mobile hot dog – which debuted in 1936 on the General Body Assembly plant in Chicago – is to discourage people from “taking things too seriously,” the corporate said.

The saucy new hot dog cars will feature new decals that encourage hungry passers-by to “please don’t lick”, in addition to Frank Whistles, formerly generally known as Wiener Whistles.
Frankmobile drivers will now be generally known as Frankfurters, dropping their old title as Hotdoggers.
Moreover, Frankfurters can be gifting away coupons for a free pack of dazzling gourmet hot dogs named after any version of Frank as a part of the “Franks for Franks” promotion.
The rebranding comes three months after thieves snatched a catalytic converter from one in every of the enduring Weinermobiles while it was parked in a Las Vegas parking zone the night before a stopover.

Animal rights organization PETA has offered to pay for the alternative part and maintenance for a yr if the corporate guarantees to convert the vehicle to NotDogmobile or vegan hot dogs.
Oscar Mayer explicitly declined the offer.
