Seven Republican attorney generals warned Goal on Wednesday that its LGBTQ-friendly Pride collection could violate child protection laws.
Seven AGs sent a five-page letter letter to Goal CEO Brian Cornell, saying state officials were “concerned” that the 2023 Goal Pride collection was “potentially harmful to minors” because it interfered “with parental responsibility in matters of gender and gender identity and possible breaches of fiduciary duties by directors company officers.
“It’s probably more profitable to sell the type of pride that expresses love for america,” they wrote.
The group was led by Indiana AG Todd Rokita, who signed the message together with other AGs in Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and South Carolina.
They wrote that “Goal knowingly marketed and marketed LGBTQIA+ promotional products to families and young children as a part of a comprehensive effort to advertise gender and sexual identity amongst children.”
The letter also cited particularly disturbing elements of the cheap-chic retailer’s “PRIDE” line.
It pointed to “LGBT-themed jumpsuits, bibs and jumpsuits, ‘Girls Gays Theys’ T-shirts”; “Pride Adult Drag Queen Katya” (depicting a person wearing a women’s “drag”); and girls’ swimsuits with “tuck-friendly design” and “additional crotch coverage” for male genitalia.”

It isn’t clear how AG is trying to Goal to handle the alleged threat to child protection rights, resembling whether or not they want Goal to remove the remaining of its Pride collection from shelves.
Goal has reportedly already pulled some LGBTQ-friendly kid’s clothing off its shelves, even though it wasn’t clear which items were ultimately ripped off.
Goal officials didn’t immediately reply to The Post’s request for comment.
The letter also called for a T-shirt with the words “Homophobic Headrest” next to an image of a guillotine, in addition to a T-shirt with the words “Transphobia Collector” next to an image of a skull.
Agents also denounced Goal for selling items designed by “self-proclaimed Satanism-inspired brand Abprallen” which they said “glorifies violence.”

“Target’s PRIDE campaign was definitely not an example of retail excellence,” the letter said, adding that the boycott it triggered also threatened the economic interests of Target’s shareholders.
The backlash sparked by the controversy has seen the Minneapolis retailer lose greater than $12 billion in market value, the letter noted.
Since Thursday afternoon, Target’s share price has fallen one other 1.2% to $130.92. The stock has fallen greater than 18% within the last six months.
“Evidence suggests that Target’s directors and managers may have been negligent,” the letter said.
Cornell previously defended the retailer’s controversial collection, calling it “the correct thing for society.”

ON Fortune’s “Leadership Next” podcast. in May, the chief executive was asked about his response to the “awakening” of capitalism, which has also engulfed iconic beer brand Bud Light, in addition to entertainment giant Disney.
“I believe these are only good business decisions that are good for society and great for our brand,” said Cornell.
The pinnacle of Goal, whose company has greater than 450,000 employees in greater than 1,900 locations nationwide, said the corporate’s strategy is to cater to a various customer base.
He even said the collection “helps us drive more sales” and construct “greater engagement,” despite data that showed Target’s value fell by greater than $15 billion last month.
The letter ended with the statement that “certain immutable commandments and principles should be in force so long as America is to stay free and prosperous.”
