Don Lemon is unemployed – but Rick Ross supports him.
The ‘Aston Martin Music’ rapper offered the 57-year-old former news anchor a job at one of his roughly 30 Wingstop restaurants on Instagram on Tuesday.
CNN let the sometimes controversial host on Monday in a surprise move that Lemon said left him stunned.
In his post, Ross said Lemon, a 17-year veteran of the network, could take up grilling if he was searching for a profession change.
“I just discovered that Don Lemon has been faraway from CNN. Shit, man,” Ross said. “But guess what? Your brother supports you.
“We’re hiring at Wingstop and for some reason I feel you understand what you are doing with lemon pepper wings, so man, just send in your resume,” he continued. “I’ll make certain I get you in front of the correct grill, brother. Be solid, brother.
In one other video, Ross said that Lemon should lend his half-known name to one of Ross’ signature energy drinks.
“I just had a great idea – really, Don, you helped me give you it,” Ross said. “I would like to hit the Rap Star Energy Drink team and allow them to know we should always introduce the Don Lemon flavor. What do you’re thinking that? Yes, Don, we got you brother!

CNN let Lemon go after a series of controversies, including when he said in February that Nikki Haley, the 51-year-old former South Carolina governor and 2024 presidential candidate, was now not “in her prime.”
He also reportedly feuded with his “CNN This Morning” co-hosts Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, and was the topic of a damning Variety magazine report published earlier this month accusing him of a long history of sexist and “diva-like” behavior.
Lemon denied the magazine’s claims and said, amongst other things, that the story is “full of patently false anecdotes and no concrete evidence.”

CNN didn’t give an official reason for Lemon’s death online. But this disputed the previous host’s claim that he was informed of the dismissal by his agent, Insider told.
“Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate,” CNN tweeted. “He was offered a meeting with management but posted a statement on Twitter as an alternative.”
