From murder plots to suburban gangs, the craziest plot twist in “Riverdale” ended up being its romance.
One in all TV’s most outlandish shows, “Riverdale,” ended last night after seven seasons…and fans are outraged by a recent foursome relationship that was revealed in the series finale.
“Introducing Betty, Archie, Jughead and Veronica to all be in a quad relationship in the finale has got to be the most silly thing riverdale has ever done,” one furious fan posted on X, formerly often called Twitter.
That fan is correct: “Riverdale,” which is predicated on the Archie comics and started as a show about small-town teens in highschool, did, the truth is, end with the reveal that Archie (KJ Apa), Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) were in a four-way polyamorous relationship by which they were all dating one another.

Before the series finale, there was a fair amount of couple-shuffling: Veronica began dating Betty’s crush, Archie, in the first season, causing Betty to maneuver on with Jughead as an alternative (as their actors dated in real life). Then, Betty ended up with Archie in later seasons, and, after the quad relationship was revealed during the finale, she was shown sharing a smooch with Veronica, too — thus implying the four-way romance.
Reggie (Charles Melton) was not involved on this foursome romance, much to his dismay.
Ever because it premiered on The CW in 2017 – and launched its young solid into stardom – “Riverdale” has been packed with crazy plot points, comparable to Archie ending up in teen boy prison fight clubs and randomly getting attacked by a bear, a cult leader attempting to harvest people’s organs and escape on a rocket, a stick-monster often called “the gargoyle king,” a character talking to her dead brother’s body as if he was alive, and time travel.

The show’s source material could also be classic, but the bonkers “Riverdale” was not your father’s Archie comics.
But even in spite of everything those wild plot points, it looks as if the series finale revealing a foursome relationship was an excessive amount of, for some fans.
“The Riverdale ending revealed that the 4 essential characters are all in a quad relationship you possibly can’t make this sh-t up,” one gobsmacked fan posted.
One other outraged viewer shared, “A quad?! b–ch i believe tf not!”
“I’m sorry, I used to be legit crying over checking out the fates of other characters just to interrupt into hysterical laughter of ARCHIE, BETTY, JUG, AND VERONICA BEING IN A QUAD RELATIONSHIP?!?!!” one other fan said.
“Anyone walks as much as me today and I’m just going to blurt out ‘the essential 4 in Riverdale are in a quad’ because WHAT,” one other astonished viewer shared.

Not all fans were offended about it, nevertheless.
“Guys I’m sorry Riverdale ending w[ith] Veronica, Betty, Jughead and Archie in a quad poly relationship is genuinely bringing me sooo much amusement rn like just chuckled heartily twice in ten minutes excited about it,” one fan said.
One other fan slammed everyone who’s outraged. “Riverdale fans hating on the Archie/Veronica/Betty/Jughead quad relationship y’all are so boring I’m sorry.”
