The Serbian government just paid $15 million to buy the picturesque New Church at 114-124 E. 35th St., which was inbuilt 1859 by followers of the Swedish religious philosopher Emanuel Swedenborg.
The previous house of prayer with a lovely front garden is now empty.
The church was represented by Craig M. Dix of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, who said other bidders included an arts group and a spiritual institution.

Based on Tristan Harper of Douglas Elliman, who represented the buyers, the brand new owners are more likely to use the constructing for the brand new UN Serbia mission.
