Did you understand that Carrie Bradshaw loves dark berry lips?
But unlike the incompetent journalist covering Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) on this week’s “And Just Like That,” who focused on Carrie’s cosmetics in an interview about her husband’s death, we dare not waste a single second on Miss Bradshaw’s lip color.
Not when this episode is full of breakups, makeup, and Charlotte’s condom fairy (more on that later).
Episode 6 delivers several major plot points concurrently in unexpected grace – or should we are saying it’s snowing.
Just as last week’s episode saw the ladies inexplicably have fun Halloween, this week there is a blizzard in the middle of winter.
While we may not understand the timeline, no seasonal event can surprise Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York-Greenblatt (Kristin Davis) and Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker).
Each of them wears oversized coats and treats the snowy streets of Manhattan as their very own catwalk. What’s essential enough to be pulled out of designer pajamas in the middle of a snowstorm?

For Miss Bradshaw, it’s WidowCon. WidowCon is like a “rock concert for sad people” – complete with vibrator merch (also often known as “Widow’s Wand”) and entertainment (comedian memorably nicknamed “Don Rickles of Death”).
Carrie agrees to be the WidowCon keynote speaker at the behest of her publisher, then realizes that an old friend (played by the incomparable Rachel Dratch) is organizing the convention, and he or she has uneasy memories of Carrie’s professionalism.
Carrie’s fears about this event turn into unfounded – she blows the crowd reading her latest book, and the whole experience someway brings her to the point of emailing her ex-fiancé Aidan Shaw (John Corbett), who hasn’t been seen on Sex and the City since 2003.
After waffling in front of the Gmail desktop, Carrie hits “send” at the end of the episode.

In a pleasant reference to Aidan’s arc in the original series, Carrie also breaks her laptop on this episode.
When Carrie computer broke down aboutoriginal loyal viewers may keep in mind that her subsequent breakdown changed into one of her biggest fights with Aidan.
When her laptop throws itself to its death from a shoebox during the ill-fated “dark berry lip” interview, Carrie gasps loudly, “Oh, thank God.”

And just like that, people can change!
Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) fans have a tricky nut to crack this week as our favourite legal eagle suffers not one but two breakups.
After Che’s (Sara Ramirez) TV pilot is canceled, Miranda’s partner spends his time eating Pirate’s Booty and curling up under the covers – which sounds like a dream until Miranda suggests that Che has barely left the house in 4 weeks.
Miranda’s beits encourage Che to agree when Carrie invites them as a plus to WidowCon, the hottest ticket on the town. At the convention, Che gains some much-needed perspective on the difference between the death of your soul mate and a canceled TV pilot.

Meanwhile, Miranda receives an extended overdue (verbal) reprimand from Steve, who she says has been walking like a “kicked puppy” since she left him for Che. When Miranda asks how his apartment search goes, he explodes.
“That is my home!” Steve yells at a stunned Miranda. He accuses her of not wanting a life with him, that he doesn’t even want their son until he almost runs out of her in a fit of tears.
Steve immediately apologizes and the two embrace in a horizontal hug of their former bedroom.
Looks like they’ll give you the chance to maneuver on until, what’s it? Miranda finds a condom wrapper, reprimands Steve for sleeping with another person of their bed, and runs off in a fit of self-confidence.
That is when Che drops the bombshell, just as Miranda laments the proven fact that she and Steve have missed out on being friends, Che suggests that perhaps “friends” may additionally be an appropriate label for his or her relationship.
It will be a tragic moment for viewers involved in an affair with Cheranda in the event that they were.

For this week’s final principal storyline, as promised, Charlotte stars as a one-man sex protection pony express.
When Charlotte’s daughter Lily proclaims to the whole family that she is prepared – pardon the pun – to be deflowered, Charlotte throws herself right into a sports font of bird and bee wisdom.
Char drops the subject when Lily states that she “went from positive sex to annoying sex”, but dutifully tracks down a box of Trojans when Lily says her boyfriend, Blake, didn’t include protection.

Across town, Lisa Todd Wexley spends just a few precious minutes in front of a screen talking to MOMA about her work as a black filmmaker (where her interlocutor dons the same Loewe style worn by Beyoncé during the Renaissance tour).
LTW doesn’t have much to do on this episode, but she deserves a special mention for a fantastic moment where she fixes her wig in a public restroom after wandering through the city in a blizzard.
When Lisa says the show must go on, you may ensure she’s going to.
