Fast food chain Taco Bell is about to remove a well-liked item from its menu to make room for the reintroduction of two other customer-favorite items.
Effective April 19, Taco Bell customers will now not find a way to buy Quesarito, which has been a staple of the menu since its debut in 2014. Reported for takeout.
Quesarito, which has only been available through the Taco Bell app or online for the previous couple of months, encompasses a burrito wrapped in a cheese quesadilla and was surrounded by considerable buzz when it was introduced.
The Takeout reported that the item is being removed from the menu to bring back two popular menu items, Bacon Club Chalupa and Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito.
The Bacon Club Chalupa comprises ingredients much like the club sandwich and has been on the menu since 1999.
The Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito was offered over the holiday season last yr and encompasses a double portion of steak, rice, cheese, nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, tortilla strips, and is grilled with a layer of cheese on the outside.

The Bacon Club Chalupa and Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito will cost $3.49 and $4.99 respectively.
Quesarito has been slowly phased out of the menu since 2020, when the company “renovated” its menu during the coronavirus pandemic to streamline operations amid a supply chain crisis, The Takeout reports.
Taco Bell is thought for pulling items off the menu but bringing them back later for a short lived period, as many expect with Quesarito.
Along with the menu changes, the company is testing Cheesy Chicken Crispanada at a market in Knoxville, Tennessee, Chew Boom reported.
