Taylor Swift reintroduced a unique era along with her re-recorded “Taylor’s Version” third studio album Speak now.
“It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours,” Swift wrote in an emotional post on social media. from 18 to twenty years old”.
The 22-track album was released Friday, July 7 at midnight and features fan favorites like “Ours” and “Enchanted.”
The unique, award-winning 2010 album contained 16 tracks, Swift’s reissues contain additional “vault” tracks, including tracks recorded in collaboration with Fall Out Boy and Paramore.
“I remember making list after list obsessing over the precise approach to tell a story,” her post continued. “I needed to be ruthless in my decisions and left behind just a few songs that I’m still unfailingly proud of. That is why you could have 6 tracks from the Vault!”

“I recorded this album after I was 32 (and still growing up) and the memories it brought back filled me with nostalgia and appreciation,” added the Grammy winner. “For all times, for you, for getting my job back. 1,000,000 times thanks for the memories that broke our fall.”
Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) marks one other re-recorded album by the singer-songwriter Fearless (Taylor’s version) AND Red (Taylor’s Version)each released in 2021.
In 2019, Swift confirmed for the primary time that she was re-recording her first six albums on “Good Morning America”, after her label Big Machine sold her masters to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings.
Before songwriter owning the rights to her music, Swift said Braun is stopping her from performing her own music for her devoted fans.
In November 2020, after her masters were re-sold to Shamrock Holdings, Swift made a lengthy Twitter post saying she had began the method of re-recording her old music.
In the course of the Eras Tour in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, Swift announced a long-awaited concert Speak Now (Taylor’s version).

After the announcement, she sent her a message social media accounts.
“I’m stuffed with pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will likely be released on July 7 (just in time for July 9, iykyk).” the “Enchanted” singer wrote in a Twitter post, pointing to the date within the lyrics of “Speak Now” “Last Kiss” – which many Swifties consider to be the date she visited her then-boyfriend Joe Jonas.
“I first created Speak Now, entirely alone, between the ages of 18 and 20.” Quick continued. “The songs that come from this era in my life were characterised by brutal honesty, unfiltered diary confessions and wild craving. I like this album since it tells the story of growing up, swinging, flying and crashing… and living to discuss it.”
