Then there was the normal heartfelt moment at the highest of the award show when actors shared an anecdote from their lives.
“Once I was 11 years old, my teachers told me I wasn’t mature enough and that I might never achieve success as an actor,” Evan Rachel Wood explained. “But here I’m on the SAG Awards. My name is Evan Rachel Wood, and I’m still an actor.”
Others took a lighter approach.
“In 1978, I got my SAG card, and since then, I have been asked to offer it back on six separate occasions,” Everyone Loves Raymond‘s Brad Garrett joked. “I’m Brad Garrett, and I do not belong here.”
