The crisis on the southern border is a humanitarian, legal and economic disaster.
One thing it is not is corporate America’s try and use the influx as a source of low-cost child labor because the Biden administration tries to spin one other political mess of its own making.
That is right, self-made.
Like inflation, fueled by Sleepy Joe’s thoughtless and overspending. Or just like the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan and way more.
With the lifting of the Trump-era immigration restrictions generally known as Title 42, the country’s economic infrastructure is bursting on the seams, as we witness on daily basis in excruciating detail with ever-increasing waves of migrants pouring across our border.
They arrive to this country penniless and hungry, thus straining vital services.
Their children will come to varsities without basic knowledge of the English language.
They are going to need medical care.
And they’re going to search for work – and never only adults.
Should you understand how immigrant families work, children will meddle as they’ve done for a long time.
And they’re going to often accomplish that, using fake documentation like their parents to slide through the leaky US immigration system.
Fake IDs are easily bought through immigrant networks, often run by cartels that illegally bring migrants into the US.
Adults and kids will get jobs since the US government’s checking to see for those who are legally on this country – or for those who are who you say you might be – is a rotten relic that has been a national disgrace for years.
This known as e-verification. It’s run by the Department of Homeland Security and is so easily fooled that even children do it.
You only buy a fake ID and Social Security number, each stolen from living and even dead people. Voila! You might be another person.

Cartels and other criminals are apparently good at finding and selling this stuff. Children magically develop into adults; they will and do dangerous adult jobs to assist their families survive.
This must be one other disgrace to the Biden administration because our immigration system is more broken than ever.
But these are the identical individuals who never let a crisis go to waste.
A fake Dickensian tragedy
They decided to point out no remorse and fix the border and even e-verification; as an alternative, they decided to show the migrant crisis right into a fictitious Dickensian tragedy of mass child labor exploitation by corporate America.
Example: Sleepy Joe’s Department of Labor conducted a sting operation for a corporation generally known as PSSI, which operates primarily within the Midwest and South.
![A Department of Labor investigator photographed a child who worked for Packers Sanitation Services Inc. cleaning up a slaughterhouse on Grand Island, Nebraska.](https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2023/05/230227-dept-of-labor-child-in-slaughterhouse-ew-130p-463a50.jpg?w=1024)
PSSI provides employees to perform the tedious, often breakneck work of cleansing animal stays and blood from meat processing plants.
The sting discovered, not surprisingly, greater than 100 children under the age of 18 working for PSSI with fake IDs that allowed them to pass as adults. The most terrifying thing was that the sting showed that the kids, aged 13, were PSSI employees.
Yes, it’s brutal work and never for kids.
Cleansing involves spraying the slaughterhouse with very extreme temperature water to kill germs.
Because the investigation showed, a number of the children were injured in the method.
The probe also showed that the kids were doing these jobs on the behest of their parents, who needed the cash to pay rent, food and God knows what else.
Again, it seems something could cause the White House to reimpose Title 42, possibly deport families back to Mexico. Or fix E-Confirm.
As a substitute, Biden’s men went into crisis mode, announcing how they found Oliver Twist’s gang working in sweatshops and bashing Blackstone, the massive private equity firm that owns PSSI, as a modern-day robber baron.

It was a two that was a 3 when you think about that Blackstone is run by GOP megadonor Steve Schwarzman.
The progressive media obviously loved the story. “60 Minutes” made a sensation last weekend. What may very well be more sensible than Wall Streeters getting wealthy through the work of immigrant children?
Nothing, I suppose, which is why the breathtaking media coverage has missed some necessary details that might make this less of a company scandal and more of a Biden immigration scandal.

Watching the piece “60 minutes” you hardly hear that these children and their parents often stay here illegally. You barely heard that PSSI has no real incentive to employ children; entry-level wages for all start at around $20 an hour, plus health advantages, etc.
Also barely touched: parents and cartels want children to work in order that they will pay off illegal entries.
You actually have not heard of the migrants swarming across the southern border, because stopping them would mean angering the far-left wing of the Democratic Party that favors open borders.
Blackstone and PSSI are sometimes beaten – and yes, a lot of them are justified.
Let’s be clear, kids shouldn’t do the things PSSI does; the corporate deservedly paid a high quality of $1.5 million to settle the matter with the Department of Labor.

But PSSI is legally allowed to depend on weak eVerification to screen job applicants. People at Blackstone tell me it’s almost illegal to refuse work to someone who’s vetted, even when they give the impression of being young. This known as the “over-documentation clause” in federal employment law.
Perhaps essentially the most absurd: the DOL staff interviewed by “60 Minutes” sounded as in the event that they thought E-Confirm was owned by Donald Trump, not operated by the Biden White House.
Not once did “60 Minutes” ask Biden DOL officials why they didn’t just go to Homeland Security and ask the people there to repair their broken E-Confirm system.
Nonetheless, I did so through emails and calls for comment. Still no answer and I do not expect any.
