Santa Monica police called in that the stays of Beau Mann, the founding father of a tech company Sober meshwere found in the courtyard of an abandoned property late last month. Dental records confirmed his identity and explanation for death was not established.
The company said on Facebook: “Beau was an attractive soul who spent the higher a part of her life helping others.”
Mann, 39, has been missing since November 20, 2021. Surveillance footage showed him getting out of an Uber and entering a 7-Eleven in the San Fernando Valley at 2 a.m. The LAPD reported that Mann made a 911 call from one other Uber shortly after, but they might not locate him. Uber records indicate he was dropped off in Santa Monica at 2:35 a.m. near Sober Grid offices. This was the last record of his journey.
Mann’s disappearance has puzzled his family and law enforcement ever since. Last 12 months, he appeared on an episode of Dateline “Lost in America” series.

No foul play is suspected
earlier today, Dateline spoke to Sergeant Erika Aklufi from the Santa Monica Department, who said no foul play was suspected. Police investigated Mann’s Uber driver early in the case but didn’t press charges.
Mann founded Sober mesh in 2015, an app that connects people in recovery, helps them find a gathering and offers support. In line with his family, Mann spent his early years battling drugs and addictions, but “directed his focus and fervour to helping others” by launching Sober Grid. The app currently has a member base of over 300,000.
“Although he is not with us, we all know Beau’s spirit will continue to exist in Sober Grid’s mission to assist those in need,” Sober Grid said in an announcement.
