The parents of a 3-month-old girl abandoned in a littered woods near Yankee Stadium dressed the dead infant in a cap and overalls and put her in a stroller – so that they could smuggle her body out of their Bronx shelter without raising alarms, prosecutors alleged Wednesday.
Shocking latest details have come to light as 23-year-old dad Damion Comager was indicted in the Bronx Criminal Court on charges of murder, manslaughter and concealment of a human corpse in the horrific death of his daughter Genevieve Rozzlyn Comager.
Comager is accused of shaking the infant before he and his girlfriend, 20-year-old Ivana Paolozzi, allegedly dumped her stays in a wooded area on the shoulder of the Major Deegan Highway where she was found Sunday night.
“Each defendants modified her diaper, put her pajamas and hat on, wrapped her in a blanket and put her in the stroller,” Assistant District Attorney Serena Newell told the court.
The prosecutor said surveillance footage recorded a bloody walk.
“The defendant pushed the cart with Genevieve’s corpse out of the shelter where they lived,” Newell continued, “successfully without prompting an inspection or questioning from the shelter staff.”
The sick couple together “placed their daughter Genevieve’s body in a garbage bag and dumped said garbage bag and baby stroller in a wooded area amidst the massive rubbish,” Newell told Judge Matthew Bondy.

Comager, wearing a black T-shirt with dreadlocks tied up in a ponytail, kept his head down in the course of the proceedings and said nothing but a whisper to his lawyer, who said that Comager desired to call. He was held without bail pending his return to court on Friday.
Paolozzi, who’s charged only with concealing human corpses, tampering with evidence and obstructing government administration, was later indicted and released from surveillance.
Newell argued that Paolozzi “posed a major flight risk” and held a Swiss passport while in the US on an expired visa.
Nevertheless, the fees against her don’t qualify for bail under the controversial 2019 criminal justice reform.
Paolozzi, dressed in black, spoke only when he answered Bondy “yes.”
Prosecutors say the young mother lied to investigators from the Municipal Kid’s Office on Sunday about her daughter’s death and disappearance.
“Ivana Paolozzi stated that the defendants and their daughter, Genevieve Comager, are all alive, protected and have moved to Louisiana,” in response to the indictment against her.
The truth is, the newborn had been dead for 2 weeks, prosecutors said.

The parents were arrested Monday after Comager allegedly confessed to his father – who alerted the cops, resulting in a search that found little Genevieve’s body.
Donald Comager told The Post this week that his son allegedly admitted to shaking the newborn on May 14 when it would not stop crying, later stating it was “stiff” and “cold”.
Police sources said that Damion Comager also allegedly admitted to hitting the kid after becoming frustrated.
The parents allegedly panicked, stuffed her body right into a bag, and abandoned their little daughter.
Damion Comager from Louisiana met Paolozzi, who’s from Switzerland, while traveling in Europe. Based on Comager’s parents, the couple moved to New York in December, three months before Genevieve was born.

Comager struggled with mental illness and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia as a baby, his dad said. Based on NYPD sources, he had several previous arrests in Pelican state on charges of assault, domestic violence and impersonation as of 2021.
Prosecutors said he was still wanted on three outstanding warrants in Colorado, where he was traveling, for assault, failure to seem in court, and probation violation.
He fled to Paris, where he first connected with Paolozzi on Facebook, and moved to Switzerland.
Donald Comager said he sought the recommendation of an area pastor in Louisiana, where he lives, before calling the police on the forty fourth Precinct Precinct in the Bronx about his son’s alleged horrific acts.
“I called my pastor before I made the decision,” he said. “We were praying and he told me he couldn’t tell me what to do, but I should do the suitable thing. That is after I made the decision. It was my grandson.”

Damion Comager’s parents said they repeatedly FaceTimed the couple – but noticed Genevieve had suddenly disappeared from their chats.
“I didn’t ask why,” Comager’s mom Ashley Holmes told The Post. “I just thought he stopped FaceTiming and we’re talking[ed] on the phone. I knew something was unsuitable when I could not hear the newborn. I asked him, “How is the newborn?” He said, “The baby is nice, the newborn is sleeping.”
She said her son finally confessed, “She’s gone. She’s gone.”
Donald Comager said he took custody of his son when Damion was only 3 months old and raised him until he was 17 and “dared to see the world”.

“It hurts me,” said the elder Comager. “I would like everyone to know that my son loves his daughter.”

On Wednesday, he said he was still attempting to figure all of it out, but he had one immediate goal.
“My major focus immediately, , I do know my son is locked up, but I’m attempting to get Genevieve’s body to Louisiana so I can have a correct burial for her,” he said.
