Justin Thomas was hard to miss.
The 30-year-old former world No. 1 golfer learned of the PGA Tour’s merger with LIV Golf on Tuesday, which resulted in a number of news around the globe.
“Had a pleasant practice session this morning too,” Thomas tweeted alongside a gif of a phone frantically answering notifications.
He was certainly one of several golfers who selected not to leap from the PGA to the Saudi-backed rebel tour who were surprised by the 10am announcement – which got here within the face of greater than two years of playing the PGA Tour and its star within the face.
To make matters worse, many PGA golfers came upon the identical way everyone else did: via Twitter.
“There’s nothing like checking out on Twitter that we’re linking to a tour we said we might never do” – Mackenzie Hughes tweeted.

“I really like finding information on Twitter. That is amazing. It’s best to all be ashamed and have a number of inquiries to answer.” – Wesley Bryan he tweeted in response to the official PGA announcement. “I feel betrayed and won’t give you the option to trust anyone within the PGA TOUR corporate structure for a really very long time.”
That the move got here a day after the US Open qualifiers was not lost for some.

There are still many questions that united tours have to answer, especially for those with in-game skin.
