May the body be with you.
A horny Star Wars themed show is coming to a close-by galaxy.
The Empire Strips Back: A Burlesque Parody opens May 10 on the Orpheum Theater within the East Village. It is based on characters from the series and features “Stifling stormtroopers, dangerously tempting Boba Fett and a female Skywalker“.
“We now have scantily clad droids. We now have a female Darth Vader,” columnist Victoria Westbrook told The Post.
“It’s an evening of pure fun… This is truly a show for all Star Wars fans on the market. We call it a clan gathering, a spot where nerds can come and have one of the best night of their lives.”

Production is the originator Russell S. Beattiewho first launched the show in his native Australia in 2011. It got here to the States as a one-night stand in California in 2018 and played on the PlayStation Theater on Broadway in 2019.
“The costumes… the sets are very detailed. So for essentially the most nerdy Star Wars nerd, there’s a transparent reference to the work we’re parodying,” said producer David Foster.
Tickets will go on sale on March 21 for the concert, which is currently open to the general public.
“It’s as much as the fans to determine how long it can last,” Foster said. “We’ll start with three months and see where it goes.”
