The ex-wife of a notorious Sydney, Australia crime member of the family has revealed the painful way her unborn child died by the hands of her former partner.
Leticia Chalmers and Alameddine crime clan member Ahmed Karim were highschool lovers after growing up together before becoming pregnant in April 2021.
The news of the newborn brought great joy to each Chalmers and her family, but to not Karim, who later showed his true colours in an act that may have put him before a judge.
“Get the fuck out of it,” he told Chalmers after learning, in response to court documents, The Every day Telegraph reports.
Two months later, the mom-to-be – now 21 – decided she was ready to lift the newborn on her own, but Karim said the newborn would bring a curse on his family.
Text messages between the couple show his callous attitude towards the mother of his child.
“I do not care if it kills you, even when it’s an af-royal abortion,” he wrote.
Chalmers remained adamant that she would keep the kid and married Karim on September 10 this 12 months – under Islamic law – to please her lover.
But the following week was removed from honeymoon as Karim raged over gender reveal talk.
Seven days after the marriage, the family was speculated to have fun the birth of a child, but plans fell apart when Karim invited his wife to his home.
Karim left an affectionate kiss on Chalmers cheek after meeting her before the pair broke into an aggressive conversation.
The overwhelmed mum-to-be burst into tears as she began to maneuver away from her husband, attempting to protect the newborn from an indignant father.
Nonetheless, Karim was too strong and suddenly grabbed Chalmers by the stomach and lifted her up before throwing her to the bottom.
The husband then proceeded to kick Chalmers within the stomach with “alternating feet” as he stomped hard on her, The Every day Telegraph reports from agreed factsheets.
He then pushed his knee into her belly, using “all his weight” to press down on her and the 20-week-old unborn baby before Chalmers passed out.
Shortly after Karim poured water over her head, the sensation woke Chalmers – only to be kicked repeatedly again.
“I need you and the newborn to die,” Karim said.
Chalmers managed to get outside looking for help before falling. At the identical time, a neighbor found her and desperately called an ambulance
The mother later gave birth to a stillborn girl, and doctors suspected that the death was the result of the placenta separating from the newborn in the course of the attack, leaving her with little oxygen.
Chalmers buried her daughter Adeya surrounded by her family members, and the family visited the grave often.
Karim was arrested and pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to a child and sexually assaulting him on the NSW District Court this month.
His lawyer Abdul Saddik managed to barter a settlement with Karim, who’s on account of be sentenced on October 17.
Karim was also found to have committed a felony strangulation, which needs to be taken into consideration when sentencing as a charge on Form 1. This implies it can not appear on his criminal record.
Chalmers hopes that by sharing her daughter’s story, the girl’s legacy will probably be remembered.
