A businesswoman from Melbourne, Australia has drawn “creepy” comments from strangers about her appearance during a live chat with her husband.
Ali Clarke launched her skincare company Bondi Blades in 2016 and has amassed a big following on social media giving suggestions and advice to other budding entrepreneurs.
However the busy mom of an only child was “appalled” and “disgusted” after her husband Ben, who manages sales and distribution at the corporate, jumped on her recent TikTok broadcast, which was flooded by trolls making cruel remarks.

Nasty comments from men and girls included “next level” taunts about Ali’s facial expression, in addition to claims that her husband was “too hot” for her and needed to “watch out”.
Ali said the situation made her feel “embarrassed”, but told news.com.au she desired to share her ordeal to boost awareness about online bullying.
“It was quite painful when people said such nasty things,” she explained.

“Women are imagined to support other women and have them come by saying; “Your husband can do higher than you” and “I’m coming for your man.”
“It hurts and it is also intimidating.”
Ali said she and her husband had been doing their best for seven years to “ignore” the streams of disturbing remarks and give attention to business, but eventually Ben was forced to step in.

“It was pretty weird when people first began commenting on this stuff because it is not something I normally cope with because I often go to shows alone,” said Ali.
“It wasn’t until my husband showed up that it began. At first I felt embarrassed to see these comments, but then I began to feel uncomfortable.
“We tried to disregard them as best we could, but as they kept coming and coming, my husband told people ‘that is not right.’
In reality, Ali was so “horrified” by what she experienced that she decided to share a video on TikTok where she drew attention to the behavior.
“My beautiful husband decided to hitch in and all the time draws a crowd because he has an incredible vibrant personality and that lovely smile so plenty of individuals are starting to look at,” she explained within the clip.
“Comments began flowing in and there have been some really scary things, like next level online bullying and he was terrified that folks would actually do it while I used to be just taking it for granted.
“I attempted to avoid the comments they usually just kept getting uncontrolled. People commented on my appearance, my teeth, my nostrils, all those awful things.”
In a video that showed screenshots of the live stream, Ali revealed more of the comments she received.

One person said, “I can not imagine it is your wife.”
One other remarked, “You’ll be able to accomplish that significantly better than her.”
As another person said, “You are too good for her.”
“There have been even girls who said, ‘I’m coming for your husband, you higher be careful,'” she explained.
“Others said they thought he was ‘really sexy’, it was just scary.
“I’ve handled bullying all my life, but these comments were on the next level.”

Her video clearly struck a chord, with many agreeing that the behavior was “despicable” and “disgusting.”
“OMG baby, I feel sick to listen to that,” one commented.
“It’s terrible, you provide a lot to the business community and you do not deserve it,” added one other.
As one agreed: “What a fact!! It’s awful. I’m so sorry.”
“Some individuals are so awful it’s disgusting,” said one other.
“Frightening behavior,” one in every of the ladies guessed.
Ali said one of the crucial disappointing things about this scenario was that TikTok has all the time been such a “protected space” because she could share content as her “authentic self”.
“It is the polar opposite of Instagram where you haven’t got to be so dressed up. You’ll be able to just are available in your tracksuits and speak about your online business and support others,” she explained to news.com.au.
“I’m not here to evaluate and criticize me.

“These people, in any case [leaving cruel comments] they need to take a look at themselves within the mirror.”
Ali is now calling on social media platforms to “hold these people accountable” and put in place higher security procedures to forestall the creation of anonymous accounts.
“It only takes one young, impressionable woman to bring such a abuse under control for something catastrophic to occur,” she said.
