Culture Guardians Cancel Hershey’s Kiss Farewell to Iconic Chocolate Maker.
Enraged social media critics are threatening to boycott Hershey’s after the brand featured a trans woman in its 2023 International Women’s Day ad campaign.
The chocolate meltdown got here to light after a Pennsylvania candy company reintroduced the “She” bar – known in Canada as “Her” – to “rejoice women changing the longer term.” in keeping with the candy giant’s website.
The packaging features the faces of five women who’ve been chosen to take part in the cocoa-fueled empowerment campaign. One of the featured candy promoters is Fae Johnstone, a Canadian transgender rights activist who celebrated her election on Twitter.

Unnecessary to say, Johnstone’s inclusion sparked digital torches and pitchforks, with Twitter critics calling the ad an insult to “real women.”

Other dissidents threatened to finish patronage of the sugar merchant.

Representatives for Hershey didn’t immediately reply to The Post’s request for comment.
Nevertheless, some defended Hershey’s decision to feature Johnstone within the ad. “Congratulations to you!!” bloated one follower. “Thanks for representing us so beautifully.”
“She’s a girl,” actress Erin Marie Hogan decided. “If terfy [trans-exclusionary radical feminists] they do not like it, they will fuck off.”
Transgender rights have been the topic of controversy, with critics accusing trans women – those that weren’t assigned female at birth – of encroaching on the space of “real women”. Meanwhile, advocates for transgender people have accused institutions of discriminating against them for being their “authentic selves.”
In November, a federal court ruled that beauty pageants couldn’t be forced to confess transgender entrants after transgender contestant Anita Green sued Miss United States of America for rejecting her participation within the pageant.
