Free falling thank you!
Tom Cruise knows how to properly thank his fans as he dives alone ahead of the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick on Paramount+ to thank fans of the franchise for making the movie a box office hit this past summer.
Nonchalantly sitting outside the helicopter, Cruise, 60, took a while to shoot Mission: Not possible – Dead Reckoning parts 1 and a couple of in South Africa to tell fans how thankful he’s for the cinematic success.
“I didn’t want the yr to end without thanking you all for coming to theaters and thanking you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick,” Cruise yelled over the helicopter blades.
The voyage through the air was accompanied by “Dead Reckoning” director Christopher McQuarrie, who reminded the motion star that they needed to get back to filming.

The “A Few Good Men” star agreed and took up a jumping position, but before letting go, he asked McQuarrie if he would join him.
“Never in my life. Good luck,” said the director.
“See you downstairs,” says Cruise, then bravely releases the plane and enters free fall.
But even within the air, plunging at over 100 mph towards the bottom, Cruise still had more to say about how gracious he was to everyone who got here to see the film in theaters.

Before running out of altitude, the “Jerry Maguire” star said he had to “get back to work” and wished everyone a “very protected and completely happy holiday”.
“See you on the cinema,” he finished, then pushed off the camera within the air and continued his solo fall.
