Strip – or standby.
Two women who were about to board an American Airlines flight were outraged after they were allegedly forced to change clothes in a public area at the gate.
The ladies were leaving Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, one in all the passengers tweeted on Monday as reported by Independent.
“Omfg, an @AmericanAir worker forced me and @keanuCthompson change your pants before boarding the plane which actually turned out to be MORE REVELOPING, THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT A REWARDS MEMBER” passenger Chrissie Mayr tweeted earlier this week.
Mayr shared a photograph of herself and her friend before changing clothes. It shows a pair briefly tops, one in a maxi skirt, the other in trousers.
Visible after the photo showed a pair wearing the same tops as a substitute of shorts.
Mayr stated in a tweet that she had to change at the “no cover” gate.
American Airlines didn’t respond to The Post’s request for comment. His the website advises passengers: “Dress accordingly; bare feet or offensive clothing should not allowed.”
The airline doesn’t specify what “offensive clothing” is.
The American Airlines social media account responded to Mayr’s thread: “Your comments are about us. Join us in DM, we’re here and prepared to listen. ”
“It was really humiliating and I’m very loyal to you guys,” Mayr replied on Twitter.
The post reached out to Mayr for comment.
But the apparent wardrobe censorship has caused commentators on social media to embarrass the airline for requiring women to change their clothes.
“Why are you harassing women in pants?” one critic responded in a Twitter thread.
One other sneered that ladies could possibly be discriminated against due to their appearance.
“I do not understand… It was long skirts! You looked beautiful, but I didn’t know being beautiful was a criminal offense. I even have a sense for those who were 300 kilos and had blue hair in the same outfits they would not have said anything.” – one other noticed on Twitter.
“Totally unprofessional…they needs to be ashamed,” wrote one other.
Over the previous few months, the problem of controlling women’s clothing has been a continuing problem for many various airlines.
Last 12 months, former Love Island Australia star Amelia Marni was apparently embarrassed for wearing a black crop top and cargo pants on a Jetstar flight. She was reportedly told that her attire violated the airline’s dress code.
The airline replied that there was no policy on short tops.
In an analogous case, TikToker Sierra Steadman was allegedly ordered off an Alaska Airlines flight also for allegedly wearing a crop top underneath a hoodie and white shorts.
